Summer Program Lead

The Summer Program Lead will lead day-to-day operations and facilitate AAMPLIFY's summer program from July 22 to August 2, Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm. College students and recent grads are encouraged to apply.

The Summer Program Lead is an integral part of AAMPLIFY, working with the Board of Directors, especially the Directors of Social Justice and Director of Leadership, to support the day-to-day operations and facilitation of the Social Justice & Leadership Summer Program.

This role will be located in San Francisco, and is a short-term summertime commitment from July 22 – August 2 (approximately 2 weeks), Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

Support the Social Justice & Leadership Summer Program, including:

  • Facilitating lessons on social justice and leadership concepts
    • Leading large and small group discussions
    • Drafting/sending invites and announcements for the program
    • Tracking student attendance
    • Collecting feedback from students
  • Assist with logistics and preparation of materials for presentations, including coordinating physical spaces/conference rooms, supplies, and technology needs
  • Attend 10 hours of virtual training between May 10 – July 15, 2024 (approx.)

Minimum qualification

  • Current college student or recent graduate (within 2 years of graduation); AAMPLIFY alumni who apply may be an incoming college student
  • Must be available in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area during the program
  • Must have computer and Internet access during virtual online training in the spring (will be based on your availability)

  • Have experience with facilitating small group discussions

Pay

Program leads will receive a stipend of $1,500 upon completion of the program.
